Online dating remains an accessible and effective way for single Christians to meet, and every year many couples who first met on Christian Connection get in touch to encourage others with their experiences and offer tips and advice about what worked for them. First things first! It might be obvious, but don\u2019t forget: Christian Connection offers single Christians a simple and accessible way to meet others in the same situation. C and M, who met on the site and got in touch to share news of their marriage, say, \u201cThe benefit of online dating is being able to connect with people who you wouldn\u2019t meet otherwise.\u201d And that\u2019s what happened to them.<\/p>\n
They advise a thoughtful approach, and persistence: \u201cPrayerfully consider whether online dating may be a tool you\u2019d like to try to meet more people. If your first date didn\u2019t work out, don\u2019t be too discouraged. Once you feel ready, try again. You never know who you might meet!\u201d<\/p>\n
Joining is only the first step \u2013 what you put on your profile makes all the difference.<\/p>\n
Steven met Jodie on CC and it was her profile that helped them connect quickly: \u201cJodie was attractive. What I liked about her profile was like detail in it, and it caught my eye. The kind of person she was – that came across in the photos and also through the profile. I was intrigued to find out more.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jodie was equally impressed by what Steven had presented \u2013 and it led to a long distance romance and then a marriage! He had \u201ca cheeky smile on his profile picture, and I liked what he’d answered. I think we had quite similar views,” she remembers. “I just didn’t realise he was in Scotland and I was down the other side of the country. We discovered a little bit later\u2026 because I set my settings as wide as wide as you could go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Selena, who met Daniel on CC, took the initiative when she saw he\u2019d worked on his profile and become a full member: \u201cHe was actually a paid member,\u201d she remembers. \u201cAnd he’d actually written more in his profile, actually taken time. And I read through it, and I was like, oh, okay, he seems quite nice. So I just sent him a message and said, \u2018Do you want to go for a coffee?\u2019 And that’s where it started from.\u201d<\/p>\n WATCH: Daniel and Selena\u2019s #MetOnCC story<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n It might not happen straight away, but it can definitely happen! That\u2019s Brodie and Chris\u2019s story.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’d both been single since our early twenties and were both patiently waiting for God to bring the right person along; and he did! We’re best friends, incredibly compatible, have so much fun together and love being married. Our relationship is sweet, loving and beautiful, and God’s timing was perfect. Chris was so worth the wait.\u201d<\/p>\n James and Rica\u2019s story testifies to those occasions when everything falls exactly into place at just the right moment.<\/p>\n \u201cI had, many years ago, joined Christian connection,\u201d says James, who felt Holy Spirit conviction that it wasn’t the right time. But then, \u201cmany years later, I’d felt the desire to go down the track of a Christian online dating again. I was sceptical about it, but eventually I accepted that God was taking me down that route. Two or three days later, this gorgeous woman popped up on my feed, and I thought I’d get in touch\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n That woman was Rica. She says, \u201cI joined Christian connection after I actually went to one of my cousin’s weddings. After the wedding, I sat in prayer and felt the Holy Spirit tell me to join Christian Connection. I listened, and within a half an hour, I got a little pop up saying \u2018James likes you\u2019, and the rest is history.\u201d<\/p>\n WATCH: James and Rica talk about how they first met<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n The last few years have thrown up some challenges to the straightforward simplicity of finding a suitable partner \u2013 but it hasn\u2019t stopped couples meeting and finding love. Far from it!<\/p>\n Elizabeth & Pieter\u2019s story started that way: \u201cIn August of 2020, we were married. A very small Covid wedding, with only 30 people. But it was a beautiful day. Not long after, we fell pregnant with our son Malachai.\u201d<\/p>\n Meeting someone through online dating can sometimes take time, but discerning when you\u2019ve connected with the right person is important. Herman and Yshtar married this year after finding each other on Christian Connection.<\/p>\n Yshtar said, \u201cTo fall in love is easy, but to remain committed is remarkable. Whether seeking first love or stepping back into the possibility of finding someone again, it can be natural to feel nervous. But don\u2019t let the fear hold you back altogether or you could miss a special connection!<\/p>\n \u201cBoth of us having lost our spouses after long marriages, one of 30 years and the other of 40 years meant that we had something in common. I was apprehensive about joining a dating site, but we had a connection as soon as we met in person.\u201d –\u00a0Maurice and Linda, who married after meeting on Christian Connection.<\/p>\n Joseph and Shirley weren\u2019t deterred by living in different places, and their connection flourished.<\/p>\n \u201cI met my husband on the app in October 2024. I lived in Philadelphia and he in Pittsburgh. We talked and prayed for three months. In January, we met in person.
