\n\tSOLITAIRE SETTING: <\/strong>After two decades working for leading jewelers and top London agencies, Jaye Thompson is going solo.<\/p>\n \n\tThe British executive, who recently exited De Beers London where he was global lead, PR and communications, is launching his own consulting firm named Thompson Communications.<\/p>\n \n\tBased in London\u2019s Mayfair, the new company\u2019s services span from advisory in communications and brand building to influence, celebrity and events planning and delivery.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhat I\u2019m going to be doing with my teams and my clients is bring an almost intangible intelligence about how to communicate,\u201d he told WWD. \u201cHaving come back to London, I bring back this global perspective. But how we apply it will be nimble and agile. It\u2019s about the swiftness, it\u2019s about flexibility.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThompson brings more than two decades of experience to the table. Before his stint at De Beers London, he joined Cartier in 2022 in Paris, where he rose to international director of public relations and influence based.<\/p>\n \n\tPrior to that, he spent more than five years at Tiffany & Co. in New York, where he was senior director, global public relations. Earlier in his career, he held various management roles at publications such as InStyle as well as agencies such as Modus, Karla Otto and The Communications Store.<\/p>\n \n\tWhile Thompson\u2019s experience is geared toward jewelry, fashion and beauty in the luxury space, he\u2019s adamant not to be \u201cpigeonholed by his background,\u201d he said. \u201cI am of the world of luxury and I love it but that is not what\u2019s defining my business and scope of work.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHe described his portfolio as companies with \u201cunique stategic and creative viewpoints\u201d in luxury and beyond.<\/p>\n \n\tCase in point, the new firm\u2019s first client is Entitled1.
