Each style uses materials from Agolde\u2019s responsible supply chain, including regenerative cotton from the brand\u2019s farm partners and Eco-Indigo, the low-impact dye the brand pioneered in 2025 that was named one of Time\u2019s best inventions, combined with McManus\u2019 timeless silhouettes.<\/p>\n \n\tThe collection will be introduced Saturday on Agolde.com and MariaMcManus.com, and will be carried by such global retailers as Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, 23S, Holt Renfrew and Net-a-porter. <\/p>\n \n\tThe collaboration is for one season only.<\/p>\n \n\tIn an interview, McManus explained what she could do with Agolde that she couldn\u2019t do on her own.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI mean washing in denim is so huge. We can do denim, and we have really clean washes. We don\u2019t have the incredible wash facilities that Agolde has. The washes we ended up doing for the collaboration, everything is so soft and really worn in and lived in, but also coming from regenerative cotton or organic cotton. But I think the color is so strong, and it\u2019s one of the focal points for us\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tIn terms of working together, Phelps said, \u201cI think Maria and I have very similar aesthetics. It was so collaborative, whether liaising with texts, and we did all our fittings in person.\u201d They spoke with each other on a regular basis, \u201cand I think we ended up with a really strong collection, whether it was taking iconic signature pieces from Maria\u2019s collection and then reimagining it, and vice versa. But we definitely rely on Maria\u2019s ready-to-wear expertise. It was super collaborative,\u201d said Phelps.<\/p>\n \n\tThe label will have both the Agolde and Maria McManus name, but Maria McManus is in a more textural way, rather than bold. The sustainability information will be on the hang tag and the Bio-Indigo is written on the care labels.<\/p>\n \n\tMcManus said this was her company\u2019s first collaboration, and Phelps said Agolde hasn\u2019t done much collaborating in women\u2019s in a big way.<\/p>\n \n\tAsked what they anticipate the bestsellers to be, McManus said, \u201cThere\u2019s a skate short that people really loved. It feels kind of new.
