The 60-year-old actor expressed her distaste for watching and filming sex scenes during Tuesday\u2019s episode of Amy Poehler\u2019s Good Hang<\/em> podcast. She said that once she finished working on her hit ABC drama, How to Get Away with Murder<\/em>, in 2020, she decided that she\u2019d only do a sex scene on one condition. <\/p>\n\u201cI\u2019m not doing any more love scenes. That\u2019s it. You write a love scene, I\u2019m not doing it,\u201d she said. \u201cUnless you give me a boyfriend who has a stomach. A big gut.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cAnd you know why? Because you\u2019ll actually write the scene. It won\u2019t be about taking off the shirt and the six-pack abs.\u201d <\/p>\n
Davis recalled filming one such scene with Billy Brown in How to Get Away with Murder<\/em>, in which her character, Annalise Keating, \u201csleeps with a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a freaking nightmare,\u201d she said of the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I said, \u2018If you write someone with a gut, maybe we won\u2019t be in bed. Maybe it\u2019ll be about everything else. And then when we finally kiss, it\u2019s like something that\u2019s organically happening,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
Davis then joked about how she feels when watching sex scenes in general.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut right now, for me, a lot of love scenes, it\u2019s like, that\u2019s the time to go to the bathroom,\u201d the Fences<\/em> star, who\u2019s been married to actor Julius Tennon since 2003, concluded. <\/p>\nBack when she was filming How to Get Away with Murder,<\/em> Davis shared a few rules she had set for sex scenes. During a 2016 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em>, she said that she would not be \u201cthrown up against the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cThey threw me up against a wall the first season and I threw my back out for two weeks and my hip, so I limped around for two weeks,\u201d she explained at the time. \u201cSo I said, \u2018No more walls.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
