The Texas-based fast food chain is reviving two of its beloved limited-time menu items next week, driven largely by customer demand, Whataburger revealed Tuesday. The Bacon Steakhouse Double and Banana Pudding Shake will return to restaurants nationwide beginning March 31 for a limited time.<\/p>\n
First introduced in 2024, the Bacon Steakhouse Double became Whataburger\u2019s best-selling limited-time offer in company history. The burger features two 100 percent beef patties layered with melted aged cheddar cheese, smoky bacon, crispy fried onions and a tangy steak sauce, served on a toasted bun. <\/p>\n
Joining it is the Banana Pudding Shake, a dessert inspired by the classic Southern treat. The shake blends banana flavor with vanilla wafer cookies, caramelized sugar and vanilla, in what the company describes as a nostalgic, dessert-like drink. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhen it comes to menu items worth bringing back, these two set the bar,\u201d Whataburger Chief Marketing Officer Scott Hudler said in a statement. \u201cWhen guests start asking for something to come back before it even leaves, that\u2019s when you know you\u2019ve got something special.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cTHANK GOD IVE BEEN WAITING SINCE THE LAST TIME YALL DON’T KNOW HOW THIS BURGER CHANGED MY LIFE IVE BEEN DREAMING OF THIS DAY,\u201d one person celebrated on Instagram. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, others wished for the Whataburger Chop House Cheddar Burger, initially released for a limited time in 2009, with returns in 2010 and at select locations in 2016. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I want the chop house,\u201d a second echoed. <\/p>\n
Another person added on Facebook,\u201d Still no Chop House Cheddar. Yall ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n
A handful of others voiced for the return of the Mushroom & Swiss Burger, which originally debuted in 2018 and returned for another limited run last year, with one stating, \u201cIt Was Supposed To Come Back In April!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Independent <\/em>has contacted Whatburger for comment. <\/p>\nThe returning items are part of Whataburger\u2019s seasonal spring offerings and will only be available for a limited time, though the company has not specified how long they will remain on menus. Customers who download and sign up for the Whataburger app will also receive a free burger and can earn rewards points toward menu items, including the returning favorites.<\/p>\n
There are more than 1,100 Whataburger locations across 17 states. Last month, a store in Paris, Texas, made headlines with a viral video of a manager using a trash can to beat a man who was allegedly abusive towards employees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
