However, they later had a baby \u2014 a now 10-year-old daughter, who\u2019s referred to as \u201cPrincess\u201d \u2014 which \u201cwas a miracle.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>According to the Reddit user, throughout her childhood, her younger sister was \u201cspoiled,\u201d \u201cclearly the favorite,\u201d and acted however she wanted, but never got in trouble for it. She also clarified that while her parents didn\u2019t treat her \u201cbadly,\u201d if she got one toy, Princess got five. And when the now 18-year-old was jealous about that, she got \u201cin trouble for it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The older girl\u2019s high school graduation was last month, and \u201cone of the few things\u201d she asked her parents to do was be there. She also said her parents seemed excited about the event, which some other relatives attended. And not only that, they spent $350. (my grad gift was $150). Then they showed up so late. Our caps were already being tossed.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The teenager acknowledged how hurt she was by her parents, so she \u201cignored them\u201d after the graduation and \u201cwent home\u201d with her boyfriend, with whom she\u2019s been dating for two years. She noted that she\u2019s \u201cbasically moved in\u201d with her partner, so if she does go home, it\u2019s just to pick some things up.<\/p>\n<p>However, her parents are still trying to get in touch with her, and they\u2019ve even given her ultimatums regarding her upcoming college plans. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy parents called, texted, apologized, even came over and begged me to forgive them. The worst part of it all, they think it\u2019s the money, and they sent me another hundred dollars. I refused to talk to them. Now it\u2019s serious, as they\u2019re threatening to report me as missing\/ a runaway and contact my future college if I don\u2019t go back home,\u201d she wrote, noting that she felt like her actions were justified. <\/p>\n<p>The Reddit post has quickly gone viral, with more than 15,000 upvotes. In the comments, many people defended the 18-year-old\u2019s reaction to the situation, while criticizing her parents for how they appeared to favor Princess over her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSibling favoritism is so crazy to me, and I think it\u2019s so unfair to the one being treated poorly. The fact that they only thought it was about the money speaks high volumes about their character,\u201d one wrote. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t help their case either that they adopted you and can\u2019t show you the same love they have for their \u2018real\u2019 offspring.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are a high school graduate and a legal adult. You didn\u2019t run away. You simply moved out,\u201d another wrote. \u201cTell your parents to have fun \u2018reporting\u2019 you. The only thing they might have a case on is the car.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople don\u2019t realize how much the \u2018little things\u2019 build up over time,\u201d a third commented. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to accept the bare minimum just \u2018cause it\u2019s coming from family.
