Disney reportedly loses about $4.3 million daily, <em>Deadline<\/em> reports, while <em>Variety<\/em> says 24 percent of YouTube TV subscribers have canceled or plan to cancel over the disruption.<\/p>\n<p>On October 30, YouTube TV accused Disney of using the blackout as a negotiating tactic to push for higher prices on subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This decision directly harms our subscribers while benefiting their own live TV products, including Hulu + Live TV and Fubo,&#8221; the statement read. &#8220;We know this is a frustrating and disappointing outcome for our subscribers and we continue to urge Disney to work with us constructively to reach a fair agreement that restores their networks to YouTube TV.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since its 2017 launch, YouTube TV\u2019s monthly price has risen from $35 to $82.99 as of January 2025, with increases along the way in 2019 and 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The return of Disney-owned channels to YouTube TV remains uncertain, as negotiations between the companies are still ongoing.
