Bastien Daguzan Exits Fear of God as It Nixes CEO Role
Bastien Daguzan is parting ways with Fear of God, less than two years since being named chief executive officer at the Los Angeles-based fashion house, WWD has learned.
The Frenchman assumed the management helm in September 2024 after serving as a strategic consultant to the founder on brand architecture, leadership alignment, and global growth initiatives, according to his LinkedIn account.
At the time of his appointment, he was tasked with a “specific emphasis on brand awareness and international distribution deployment, e-commerce excellence initiatives, to ensure seamless accessibility for customers worldwide.”
Contacted by WWD, Fear of God said it “made the decision to remove the office of the CEO from its organizational structure.”
“We recognize the effort that supported the progress of the business, including key initiatives, through 2025,” the statement said, though there was no mention of Daguzan specifically.
“Our responsibility extends beyond the successes and failures of the tangible. We are committed to an eternal vision guided by alignment, intention and consideration. We are grateful for everyone who has contributed to moving Fear of God closer to the vision and purpose of the organization,” the statement continued. “We remain clear in our direction and focused on the path ahead.”

Daguzan’s next move could not immediately be learned.
A graduate of La Sorbonne and the Institut Français de la Mode, Daguzan started his career running the signature fashion house of Belgian designer Kris Van Assche. He next became CEO of the Lemaire brand from 2013 to 2017, initiating a partnership with Japanese high-street fashion giant Uniqlo that persists through today.
Daguzan then spent five years as general manager of Paco Rabanne fashion, while consulting for Jacquemus on the side. In May 2022, Daguzan made the jump and switched over to Jacquemus full-time just as the brand was hitting a steep growth curve, stepping down short of two years later.
Founded by Jerry Lorenzo in 2013, Fear of God markets women’s and men’s fashions spanning from tailoring and sophisticated essentials to athleticwear under various labels, including Fear of God Essentials and Fear of God Athletics.
Lorenzo has described his work as re-envisioning tailoring through the lens of sportswear to continually challenge the notion of modern American fashion.
Last year, he received the fourth annual Innovation Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
