Charlie Constantinou Spring 2026 Ready to Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Charlie Constantinou’s clothes are usually informed by function, but this season he dove into the history books, blending his signature utilitarian touches with medieval references to fashion his most compelling collection yet.

“I’ve always been fascinated by historical clothing, and I tend to think that it’s often categorized as a costume when you look at it through a more modern lens,” the designer said.

“I was interested in how you can take elements of [costume], but actually make them super-wearable and functional, rather than just being a costume,” he added.

He looked closely at the way knights once dressed, pinned epaulettes on hoodies and jackets, and created tops that recalled pieces of shoulder armor. Wide-legged trousers had armor-style details at the knees. There were also jersey dresses with bodices like finely detailed breastplates.

Constantinou mainly uses deadstock, hence all of the nylon looks, but the interesting detailing made each piece feel singular. The palette was also compelling, taking in weathered navy and gray and pops of deep red. But it was the shocks of electric purple and sky blue that stole the show.

“We produce everything in white first,” Constantinou said. “Then we hand-dye or print everything in-house. The mood for this season started a lot darker, colder, but then built to a more warm, spring-like palette.”

Next season, it might be time to forgo the florals and armor up in Constantinou’s clothes.
